FMI, a leading consulting and investment banking firm serving the built environment, today announced that CEO Chris Daum was honored by the U.S. Minority Contractors Association (USMCA) with the 2021 USMCA Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Daum was recognized by USMCA during the association’s 30th Millennium Awards Celebration for leading FMI Corporation’s mission and stance on diversity, equality and inclusion in a manner that mirrors the U.S. Minority Contractors Association’s mission and purpose.
“On behalf of FMI and my colleagues, I am honored to receive this award. It affirms our organizational commitment to partnering with USMCA to create a better future for the built environment, which cannot be realized until people of color and minority-owned firms are fully represented and thriving across our great industry,” Daum said.
This year’s award theme is “Sustainable Excellence in the Build Industry” and USMCA remains committed to “building capacity for minority entrepreneurs in the construction build industry.” The USMCA STEM Education Foundation also awarded 25 scholarships for students attending college in STEM areas.
