Kjell Lundal

Managing Director

Kjell Lundal has more than two decades of investment banking experience advising public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures and capital-raising transactions. During his career, Kjell has advised on more than 110 transactions aggregating more than $56 billion in value. 

As co-leader of FMI’s Energy & Industrial Services investment banking group, Kjell works with products and services companies that serve the energy value chain and related process industries, as well as financial sponsors participating in these sectors.  

Prior to joining FMI, Kjell was a managing director at Baird where he co-founded the firm’s energy investment banking group and most recently co-led its energy services and equipment practice. During his time at Baird, he also helped build the group's midstream and upstream practices, advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, and equity capital markets transactions. Kjell's prior experience includes working in the mergers and acquisitions groups at National City Capital Markets and A.G. Edwards Capital Markets, where he worked on transactions within the energy and industrial-related sectors.
