Brand Manager

Liz Hester brings more than 15 years of journalism, content creation and marketing experience to her role as brand manager at FMI. She’s focused her career on helping companies craft quality content that helps solve business challenges and reach their target audiences with messages that resonate. She is responsible for FMI's brand in the market, ensuring brand standards are met across divisions. She manages and helps produce more than 50 pieces of content each year, FMI's website and works with the chief marketing officer to set strategy for reaching FMI's target audiences.

She joined FMI in 2020 after running her own communications consulting firm for eight years where she helped clients with strategic messaging initiatives and other content marketing needs. Besides financial services, she has worked with firms in construction, infrastructure, commercial real estate and consulting. 

Before returning to her native North Carolina in 2012, Liz worked in various communications roles at JPMorgan Chase in New York. Her responsibilities included internal and executive communications, strategy, writing marketing copy, intranet management and media training for the consumer and investment banks. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Liz was a banking and finance reporter at Bloomberg News. She covered the industry during the 2008 financial crisis and its aftermath. Her work has appeared in Bloomberg Markets, Bloomberg Businessweek and papers across the world.
