Porter Wiley

Managing Director

Porter Wiley leads FMI Capital Advisors Building Products team, which focuses on manufacturers and distributors of products and materials used in residential, commercial and infrastructure construction. With two decades of investment banking experience in the industry, he has worked with producers and suppliers of all types of products from the tiles on the floor to the shingles on the roof to the pipes underground.

He brings deep industry knowledge to each client engagement and is adept at isolating the key drivers of company value and communicating a compelling story that resonates with investors.

Porter started his career with the Industrial Group at Bankers Trust in New York and continued through the firm’s acquisition by Deutsche Bank. There, he provided M&A advisory, leveraged finance and other capital markets transactions for leading building products companies and private equity firms. He later became managing partner of a boutique advisory firm that provided M&A advisory and private placements for building products, building materials and cleantech companies.
