Sara Tsahakis

Sara Tsahakis is a Senior Instructional Architect for the FMI Training Institute, where she designs evidence-based learning experiences that help leaders and organizations build the capabilities needed to succeed in the construction industry. Her expertise spans instructional design, leadership development, leadership assessment, competency modeling, succession planning, and talent analytics.

Drawing on her doctoral training in industrial-organizational psychology, Sara specializes in translating research into practical learning experiences that drive measurable behavior change. Her expertise includes defining and measuring learning outcomes, aligning learning experiences with organizational and business objectives, and designing engaging learning activities and assessments that reinforce skill development and knowledge transfer. She combines research, data, and practical business insight to create innovative training programs and leadership resources that strengthen leadership capability and develop high-performing talent.

Throughout her consulting career, Sara has partnered with organizations across the construction and engineering industries to develop leaders, strengthen talent pipelines, and improve organizational effectiveness. She has designed leadership development programs, competency models, assessment solutions, succession strategies, and executive selection processes that help organizations identify, develop, and retain high-performing talent.

Prior to joining FMI, Sara worked with consulting firms in Canada and the United States specializing in executive assessment and leadership development. She also served as Director of the Assessment Department at a higher education institution, taught statistical analysis to psychology students, and conducted research on ethics in consulting at Université de Sherbrooke in Canada.
