FMI Advises EC Electric in Sale to the E-J Group

FMI Capital Advisors is pleased to announce the sale of EC Electric to the E-J Group. FMI Capital Advisors served as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor to EC Electric for this transaction.

Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, EC Electric is one of the most respected and trusted full-service electrical contractors on the West Coast. The company’s depth of experience and expertise, particularly in data centers and chip plants, will enhance the services offered to clients. This transaction expands the E-J Group’s footprint on the West Coast, strengthening its ability to serve a broader range of clients with industry-leading electrical construction solutions.

“We are pleased to welcome EC Electric to the E-J Group family. The acquisition will maximize each firm’s specializations to further expand E-J’s presence on the West Coast. All our divisions operate under the same philosophy, safety first while remaining innovative with prefabrication and lean construction solutions,” says Anthony E. Mann, CEO of the E-J Group.

Andrew Beyer, CEO of EC Electric stated, “We believe that support from the E-J Group organization will provide us with even more opportunities to pursue new business initiatives while maintaining the highest quality services to our clients.”

Beyer adds, “FMI’s deep industry expertise and hands-on approach were instrumental in making this transaction a success. Their team provided strategic insights and support that allowed us to find the right partner in the E-J Group, ensuring a strong future for our employees, clients and business.”

EC Electric will retain its name and cultural identity, with its current leadership continuing in their respective roles. Beyer will remain as CEO, reporting to E-J’s executive vice president, Alan Lang, while Jon Orrell will continue as president. Their collective expertise and collaboration will ensure the organization’s continued success and growth.
