FMI Advises Satterfield & Pontikes Construction in Acquisition of Eagle Contracting

M&A Transaction Expands Satterfield & Pontikes’s Specialty Construction Portfolio

FMI Capital Advisors is pleased to announce that Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) has acquired Dallas/Fort Worth-based Eagle Contracting, LP (Eagle), a prominent general contractor that conducts work solely in the water and wastewater industry. FMI Capital Advisors served as the exclusive financial advisor to S&P for this transaction.

Founded in 1989 in Houston, S&P provides a full range of pre-construction, construction and consulting services through a variety of delivery methods including general contracting, construction manager at risk and design-build. Through the acquisition, S&P enhances its growing construction specialty portfolio and expands its geographic footprint in Texas.

“Satterfield & Pontikes is very pleased to have Eagle join our family of companies,” said Clay E. Morel, S&P’s President. “Water is a critical piece of the overall infrastructure equation, and it is now an important part of our business. Eagle has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality projects and their culture of integrity and collaboration mirrors our own.”

“With its invaluable guidance and expertise in the construction and contractor space, FMI supported us throughout the transaction process to ensure we were investing in a company that would advance S&P’s water infrastructure capabilities,” added Morel.

Eagle will retain its name, and President Roy Ewen and Vice President Billy Haynes will remain in their current leadership roles and join the S&P executive team.
