FMI Expands its Financial Sponsor Coverage Team with Hire of Mike Packer

FMI Corporation, a leading consulting and investment banking firm for companies that work and invest in the built environment, is pleased to announce that Mike Packer has joined the firm’s Financial Sponsor Coverage team.

Based in New York City, Packer will help lead the firm's efforts to deepen relationships with private equity firms investing across the built environment. He brings extensive experience in private equity investing, M&A and business development, having contributed to approximately $1 billion in deployed capital across multiple investment platforms and market cycles.

"Mike's deep understanding of the private equity landscape and his longstanding relationships across the built environment make him an outstanding addition to our team," said Alex Miller, managing director at FMI Capital Advisors. "As financial sponsors continue to play a significant role in shaping our industry, Mike's experience and strategic perspective will strengthen our ability to serve both investors and operating companies."

Prior to joining FMI, Packer served as managing partner at Album Advisors, where he advised private equity-backed companies on deal origination initiatives within the built environment. Before that, he spent seven years at ORIX Capital Partners as head of business development, leading deal origination efforts and cultivating relationships across the investment banking and private equity communities. Earlier in his career, Packer held roles at a lower middle-market private equity fund in Southern California and began his career with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in San Francisco.

"I'm excited to join FMI and work alongside such a talented team with a reputation I’ve long admired in the built environment," said Packer. "The firm's deep industry expertise, trusted client relationships and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes create a tremendous platform to support private equity investors as they identify opportunities and create value across the sector."

Packer earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brigham Young University.
