Marcos Ruiz Tamayo

Marcos Ruiz Tamayo works with the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) advisory team at FMI, where he supports clients through ESOP transactions. His work includes performing valuations, developing client-facing materials and assisting with due diligence to help ensure a smooth transaction process.

Prior to joining FMI, he worked as a consulting extern with PwC, contributed to the private equity team at Edessa Growth Partners and served as an investment banking analyst at Hillside Capital Partners, where he focused on the healthcare and industrial sectors. During his time at Virginia Tech, he gained a diverse range of experience across consulting, private equity and investment banking. Additionally, he served as a teaching assistant for the Financial Modeling in Excel course on campus, supporting students in developing core financial analysis skills.
