Ryan Bailey
Consultant
Ryan is a consultant in FMI's private equity practice, partnering with PE investors and their construction holdings to drive measurable operational change. He works with PE-backed contractors to assess operational performance, strengthen project controls and improve financial reporting processes, helping firms translate field-level execution into sustainable business value.
Prior to FMI, Ryan spent four years in commercial construction project management, where he led complex ground-up and renovation projects across the commercial sector including large-scale distribution facilities, grocery anchored developments and mixed-use retail and office construction. His background managing trades across diverse project types gives him a practitioner's lens that allows him to quickly build credibility with operators and develop recommendations that are grounded in how construction businesses actually work.
Ryan's finance and accounting background, combined with his hands-on construction experience, positions him uniquely to address the operational and financial intersection that PE-backed contractors often struggle with, particularly around work in progress reporting, cost-to-complete accuracy and project-level profitability.
