FMI Expands Its Houston-based Energy & Industrial Services Investment Banking Team

FMI Capital Advisors, a leading investment banking firm exclusively serving the Built Environment, announced today that it has enhanced its financial advisory services within the Energy & Industrial Services sector, with the addition of Kjell Lundal as Managing Director.

Kjell joins veteran industry bankers Barry Donovan and Michael Chevalier-White out of the firm’s Houston office, which focuses on participants in the services and products sectors across the Energy value chain and other process industries. During his career, Kjell has advised on over 110 advisory and capital-raising transactions aggregating more than $56 billion in value.

Prior to joining FMI, Kjell was a Managing Director at Baird where he helped co-found the firm’s energy investment banking group and most recently co-led its energy services and equipment practice. During his time at Baird, he also helped build the group’s midstream and upstream practices, advising public and private companies on M&A and equity capital markets transactions.

Kjell’s prior experience includes working in the mergers & acquisitions groups at National City Capital Markets and A.G. Edwards Capital Markets, where he focused on transactions within energy and other industrial-related sectors. Lundal holds an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis.

Chris Daum, FMI CEO, stated, “With more than 80 years of combined financial advisory experience, Barry, Michael and Kjell bring extensive knowledge and expertise in serving the energy and industrial services companies and investors, allowing them to provide customized solutions and exceptional results to clients.”

Lundal commented, “I look forward to partnering with Barry and Michael to further expand FMI’s presence in Energy & Industrial Services. Our combined experience, coupled with FMI’s long commitment to the built environment, create a highly compelling value proposition for our clients.”
